We provide clients with individually tailored care plans that are suited directly to their needs and desires in order to ensure the height of comfort and happiness to all those we work with.
Having worked diligently in the industry for many years, Barnet Home Care and our staff are experienced and prepared for whatever challenges are faced by our service users, and always pursue the most attentive and effective solutions to these challenges.

SITTING SERVICE

Whether it’s for short or long periods of time, leaving your loved one without support in their home can be a struggle at best and a risk at worst. Barnet Home Care provides a sitting service that is as flexible as needed, filling in gaps in care where round-the-clock domiciliary attendance is needed. Our carers strive to build close relationships with our clients, so no matter the circumstances, you can be sure that you are in good hands.

COMPANIONSHIP

At Barnet Home Care, we recognise the importance of in-person relationships for our clients. Whilst we live in a time where we can communicate easily over long distances, the value of human interaction can never be understated, and so we make sure to provide a companionship service that helps our clients avoid the stress of loneliness.

RESPITE CARE

From time to time, you would like your main carer to have a break from the caring duties. Alternatively, you would like companionship or would like someone to accompany you to undertake some activities. We are able to provide these services to give you the peace of mind that you are looked after and supported in whatever you choose to do.

MANAGING MEDICATION

We can provide support by managing and administering medication from pharmacy packed blister packs or from original pharmacy containers. We work with the local pharmacies and other healthcare professionals to manage the medication of our service users safely. All of our staff are rigorously trained in medication administration to give you peace of mind regarding medicine.

SHOPPING AND DOMESTIC

Housework can be time consuming and difficult to manage. We offer practical help for people who require support to get these tasks done. We can provide support with a wide range of these tasks, be it shopping with or for our clients, or just making sure said shopping is put away correctly. We also provide help with your laundry or ironing and keeping your home clean and tidy, including general cleaning or one-off cleaning tasks including vacuuming, dusting and more.

LEARNING DIFFICULTIES

Barnet Home Care supports adults and children with learning disabilities and autism. Everyone is different, and so our unique approach centres on the people themselves, to support them in living their daily lives whilst simultaneously realising their dreams and ambitions. We design our support packages on our clients’ personalities, likes, dislikes, goals, and ambitions. We work with multi-disciplinary teams to provide the holistic care that can make a difference to their lives.

COOKING AND MEAL PREPARATION

We can provide support with meal preparation and nutritional support, whether it is making breakfast, lunch, dinner or assisting with thickened drinks. Our caregivers are trained in food hygiene and nutrition and can monitor food and fluid intake where required to support healthy nutrition. Our staff will work with you and your families to plan the meals during the initial risk assessment and prepare the care plan based on your need and choices, taking into consideration any cultural or individual dietary requirements.

PERSONAL CARE

We can provide assistance with your personal care needs, including getting up or going to bed, eating, washing, or using the bathroom. Our carers are fully trained in providing you help with all basic day-to-day tasks and offer as little or much support as you need. Our supervisors will work with you to develop an outcome-based care plan that is right for you.

DEMENTIA CARE

At Barnet Home Care, we understand the challenges often inherent in supporting someone with dementia, and we are committed to providing holistic, high quality, person-centred care and support to both service users and their families. Our caregivers understand that assisting someone with dementia requires both a practical understanding of their condition and the psychological and emotional journey of both the service user and their loved ones. Dementia training is an integral part of Barnet Home Care’s induction programme which, all team members complete on starting work with us. With our person-centred approach, we ensure that we meet the needs of the individual and work in partnership with the families to ensure we can help people to live well with dementia.

NIGHT CARE SERVICE

We provide waking and sleeping night care services, which have been designed to give you peace of mind should you require any assistance during the night, whether you do not have regular cover during that time, or such care is needed on an ad hoc basis.
