Yes, our caregivers are extensively trained in all aspects of care work, from moving & handling courses to medication training. Our staff training is accredited by Skills for Care, and we regularly update our training programmes to meet changing national standards. If you are interested in knowing more about a specific training area, please get in touch!
We will ensure that the caregivers work within the regulatory and legal framework of Health and Social Care. Please let us know during the initial assessment your requirements, and we will let you know whether the requested tasks can be completed by the caregivers. This is to ensure that the provision of services does not pose a risk for yourself and our staff.
Our carers will stay for the entire duration of each call unless they are asked otherwise by our clients, as ensuring that all tasks are completed is imperative in providing comprehensive care. Whilst we cannot guarantee that the same caregiver will be available through different days of the week, we strive to make sure that you feel comfortable with your carer, and so will make sure this is the case wherever possible.
As your safety is paramount to us at Barnet Home Care, all of our team undergo an Enhanced DBS check prior to starting work with clients, and client-specific risk assessments are put in place to ensure that you are safe at all times. Our staff have a recognisable uniform and photo ID badges with them, please make sure to ask to see these in order to ensure that the caregiver is from Barnet Home Care.
For private clients, we invoice monthly and accept both cheques and bank transfers, although where these are not possible, we will try to accommodate your individual needs.
All calls can be cancelled without charge when notice is given over 24 hours before the call. We are always available to be contacted, either by email at barnet@barnethomecare.com, via our website, or, during office hours, by telephone at 020 3887 3700.
